Introduction to Sewing Machines
Week 2
How to make a pin cushion and hair accessory
In this session, you will learn how to create two beginner-friendly sewing projects: a pin cushion and a hair accessory. Both projects will teach you basic sewing skills, including how to use a sewing machine, make simple seams, and work with elastic. By the end of this class, you’ll have two stylish, functional items to keep for yourself or give as gifts!
Week 3
Trouser length adjustment
In this session, you will learn how to adjust the length of your jeans or trousers to achieve the perfect fit. Whether your jeans are too long or need shortening for a tailored look, this beginner-friendly course will teach you essential hemming techniques and how to use your sewing machine for a professional finish. By the end of this class, you’ll be able to confidently alter the length of your jeans, saving money on alterations and gaining a new skill to customize your wardrobe.
Week 4
How to make a Tote Bag
You will learn how to create a simple, unlined tote bag. This project focuses on key sewing skills such as cutting, stitching straight seams, reinforcing handles, and adding a simple but practical finishing touch to your bag. By the end of the class, you’ll have a stylish, functional tote bag ready to use!

We can rearrange a session preferably within the same week. Please give at least 24 hours notice where possible.
